Further progress can only be achieved with the help of modern training methods and innovative equipment, reducing the peak forces on the gymnast’s body. Janssen-Fritsen has lead the way in the gymnastics world for the past 50 years with product innovations which have helped gymnasts to improve their performance and which have increased safety. Thanks to a continuous presence at the highest international level - Janssen-Fritsen supplied the artistic gymnastics equipment for the Olympic Games Beijing 2008 – the limits of the equipment are always being tested. Janssen-Fritsen continuously develops products that brings out the best in gymnasts world wide and reduces the risk of injuries. The goals of the company are the same as those of the gymnasts: Be the best, push the limits.
IN COMPETITION AND TRAINING
Specific to the development of our products is the co-operation with gymnasts, federations and top coaches. Their needs, views and desires are the starting point for our innovations. Janssen-Fritsen products are designed and developed for intensive use and thus very suitable for training as well as for competition. Therefore the design and furnishing of specialised gym halls, which allow for the necessary intensive training hours, is one of our core activities.

The close co-operation of our product development team with renowned institutes such as the Technical University of Eindhoven and The German Sports University in Cologne, in combination with world-famous coaches and experts, helps us to develop revolutionary innovations.
EQUIPMENT
Olympic Games or World Championships, the gymnastic equipment of Janssen-Fritsen is being used at all kind of national and international competitions throughout the world. Thanks to the continuous dialogue with users – athletes and coaches – with regard to possible improvements, Janssen-Fritsen is always at the front of product innovations. Measuring the different dynamic forces occurring in the equipment and on the gymnast’s body within fractions of seconds requires highly sophisticated measuring devices and skilled staff to work with it. Only with the assistance of such tools, fundamental product development is possible.
COMPETITION
Only top quality equipment can support top achievements. It is not a coincidence that Janssen-Fritsen equipment is frequently being used at major international gymnastic events throughout the world. The competition equipment with its characteristic burgundy colour meets all international standards and has passed all official tests with flying colours. The entire range of Janssen-Fritsen competition equipment for the FIG disciplines has therefore been tested and awarded with a FIG Diploma. This means that the FIG allows and recommends the equipment to be used at the highest level.
TRAINING
In training you wish to reach or even push your limits. Obviously this can be achieved with competition equipment. To optimise the training situations, Janssen-Fritsen has developed a special range of training equipment: the ‘Club’ Line. The characteristics of these gymnastics apparatus are very similar to the competition equipment, however with the advantages of an easier adaptation to various training situations and a fast installation in multipurpose halls.
METHODICAL EQUIPMENT
In addition to competition and training equipment, Janssen-Fritsen offers a wide range of methodical aids. These devices have been developed with the specific aim to train or perfect an exercise or a single element in a safe way and in the shortest possible time.
GYMNASTIC HALLS
In order to perform at the highest level, perfect material and expert coaching are crucial, in addition to many hours of intensive training. Only adequately equipped gym halls offer those prerequisites. By placing the equipment at the right spot, using permanently installed landing mats, a safe and versatile training environment can be created, allowing the use of both specific training and competition equipment. Methodical aids are at your disposal and a landing pit will help you to safely master difficult elements or go through tough training sessions. Janssen-Fritsen prefers to be involved in the planning of a gym hall from the very start. We can prepare drawings for a safe and optimal layout given your specific hall and budget.
LANDING PITS
Landing pits are an indispensable part of any modern gym hall. Janssen-Fritsen considers the needs and desires of the users and the local circumstances, when designing and offering a landing pit. For a good landing pit tailoring is essential. Security is the most important factor and has the highest priority. By choosing the right filling, with a specific balance in combining foam with different characteristics, maximum absorption with optimal safety can be obtained. To minimise condensation, a constant air circulation is created. Depending on the level, the equipment and the teaching methods used, the most appropriate type of pit will be designed after consultation with gymnasts and coaches.
EVENTS
The quality of Janssen-Fritsen gymnastic equipment is recognised throughout the world. For many years JF is supplying equipment and know-how to events and organisers all over the world.
Janssen-Fritsen equipment has been chosen for various European Championships, World Champion-ships and Olympic Games. Not only because of the intrinsic quality but just as much because of the specialised and experienced technicians assisting the organisers. Janssen-Fritsen was the artistic gymnastics equipment supplier for the Olympic Games ATHENS 2004 and BEIJING 2008.
Further, Janssen-Fritsen is the exclusive supplier of the World Championships Rotterdam 2010, the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore 2010, the Asian Games in China 2010, the european champioships Gymnastics in Belgium 2011 and many, many more major and minor events around the world.

“Pushing The Limits”
Janssen-Fritsen considers it to be a challenge to continuously compete with equipment and materials available on the market. The gymnastics world offers all kind of opportunities to put the latest developments to the test.
Janssen-Fritsen is leading in the world when it comes to the development and production of gymnastic equipment. Our equipment has been and is being used at many major events throughout the world. The necessary know-how and expertise for the development of modern gymnastic equipment is becoming more and more specialised. That is why Janssen-Fritsen works closely together with scientific institutes and specialised universities, which can support our R&D team with their expertise and specific equipment.
Pegases is one of the innovative products developed this way. Pegases was the first new vault to be used at a World Championship and so far the only one ever used at any Olympic Games. The “Apollo Diagonal” free exercise floor and the 2nd generation springboards, the soft “Iris” and the hard “Kreon“ are other examples of applied technology used to improve the safety of the gymnasts.
SHOWROOM
If there is one place where you can experience the philosophy and vision of Janssen-Fritsen, it is the showroom. Here, within the company building, you will not find a simple collection of products. The showroom offers a presentation of methodically built-up ranges of equipment, both traditional and the most innovative developments, sometimes even prototypes.
